Our Family Christmas Card

I really hope that everyone had a wonderful Holiday! Here is our Christmas card!
I went to the vet today since I have this sniffly sneezing thing going on and Mom was being a little bit of an overprotective parent. Dr. McGrath says that I am fine (...just like I had been telling Mom & Dad all weekend!!!). I also got weighed while I was there and I am now double digits -- 10 lbs! Holy Cow!!
We also talked about me getting neutered in the next month or so...sounds like an absolute hoot...thanks a lot guys...really...thanks.

My Stump Friends

This is probably my favorite of my Christmas gifts. It is a stump with 3 squirrels inside. I could just play with these little squirrels ALL DAY! I love chasing the squirrels around and then fishing them out of their stump house after Mom or Dad put them back in. Check it out!

Lobsters

These weird looking things showed up on Christmas Eve...can you believe Mom & Dad ATE them??!!!? Gross, I tell ya...just gross.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

I hope that everyone had a great Christmas -- I sure did! I got A TON of gifts from Mom & Dad, and also some from Grandpa Bill & Jeannette, Aunt Jenny, Grandma Maryann & Don and Walkin' The Dog! My gifts include (but are not limited to) 2 Christmas tree ornaments, a stocking, a rain jacket, bull sticks, bones, treats, lots of fun toys, a travel kit for all my jet setting and a neat water bottle for using on hikes/walks! I also got a really cute tag for my harness that has my name, address and phone number on it. I don't see how I'll ever really need that, since these two watch me like a hawk and I'm never even off my leash outside ever...but I guess it is better to be safe than sorry! Here are some fun photos of the holidays...me and Dad watching the morning news, Dad entertaining me with an oven mitt, me checking out all my presents and another of me just hangin' on the couch guarding the remotes. It was great to have Mom & Dad all to myself for 4 whole days! I'm one lucky dog :)

Just another day at the office...

Here is a photo of me and my friend Cody from Mom's office that I am always talking about. I love him! I also love his Dad, Rich, who always gives me yummy biscuits. :)
OK, enough posing...we need to get back to work. Those big houses don't build themselves and our input is very valuable to this organization. Ciao!

My Growing Web Presence

Just a quick note to let you know that http://www.baxterboo.com/ put me on their website! Mom sent them a photo of me in my beloved red snowsuit, and they put it on their site. Check it out! I can't seem to cut and paste the link, but go to http://www.baxterboo.com/ and search for "snowsuit"...click on the "reversible dog snowsuit red navy"...I'm at the bottom of that page. :)

Poochie Bells also put a link to my blog on their Twitter page. Scroll down about half way to the "Way to go Roscoe" post. :)

My New Sweater

When I was in NY last week, Aunt Jenny bought me the nicest sweater at Club Monaco! I think I look very dignified when I have it on, and it kind of matches the color of my hair which I like.

I tried it out around the house last night and it was so cozy and soft...I'll wear it all the time! I am collecting quite the wardrobe :)

Thanks Aunt Jenny! I love you! xoxo Roscoe

More pics from NYC...

I am a man of my word, so as promised here are more photos from my trip to New York City. I got to surprise my Grammy & Don while I was there which was a lot of fun. Her and Don snuggled with me and played with me a lot. I can't believe that my Grammy is turning 60 in March...doesn't she look great?! I also liked checking out the baby in Aunt Jenny's belly. Can't wait to meet you, Baby...but you stay put in there until you have cooked for a full 9 months and are nice and healthy before you make your grand entrance! xoxo R

A True Mountain Dog

I forgot to mention that I am now TOTALLY all set for my first winter! Mom and Dad say winter and snow lasts 6 months here....are they pulling my leg?! Um, that is ridiculous! Good thing that my amazing snowsuit from http://www.baxterboo.com/ came...I LOVE IT!!! It is so warm and I don't get all wet and matted after a romp in the white stuff...Mom and Dad like that aspect of it. Plus, I look super cute when I have it on...and it's fun for me to chew on when I'm not wearing it. Check me out! What do you think?? xo R

Roscoe Takes Manhattan!

Hi Everyone! Sorry that I haven't been writing too much lately...I've been a busy pup!

Mom just took me on a mother-son bonding trip to NYC. Dad had to stay in CO to work...sucker! We had so much fun! To start off, we had super cool flight attendants who let me pop out of my sherpa for some petting, snacks and water on the flight. Then we got to Aunt Jenny and Uncle Shawn's apartment for a surprise! They were so happy to see me...oh and I guess they were happy to see my Mom too. Over the next few days I was all over town -- riding in cabs, walking and shopping on 5th Avenue (Mom enjoyed this much more than me...I was just interested in chewing on scarves and any other clothes that happened to be near my height in the stores). Aunt Jenny bought me a really nice sweater since I have almost outgrown my other one. I got to see her baby belly. That baby will be here so soon! Can't wait to meet my cousin!!! What else...oh, we walked to Washington Square Park and there were a bazillion people dressed as Santa there! It was called SantaCon...VERY COOL (and kinda weird too...). Here are some photos...I heart NY :)

I'll post more photos soon. These are the ones from Mom's phone. More from the camera coming soon!

XOXO ROSCOE

Thanksgiving

I just celebrated my very first Thanksgiving and am thankful for SO much...my wonderful parents and my loving home, my terrific original parents/breeders Charlie and Dee Travella who gave me SO much love and such a great head start in life, my dog parents Bailey and Tija who gave me my striking good looks, my friends Marisa and Merrill who take care of me at daycare once a week and when Mom and Dad are out of town, Susan Gruber and her family who watched me when Marisa and Merrill were on their own vacation and my Vet Dr. McGrath who made my conjunctivitis all better and is always so nice to me (and gives me tasty liver treats whenever I have an appointment). I also love my family in NY and NJ who I was lucky enough to fly to and meet this summer. I am especially thankful for Aunt Jenny and Uncle Shawn who let me stay at their sweet NYC pad and showed me all around The Big Apple. I am also thankful that I get to go to work with my Mom every day and play with my friend Cody at her office. Everyone there is so nice to me...I love it!
I am NOT thankful for that red Christmas hat that Mom keeps trying to jam on my head and then take photos of me wearing it! No way, woman!

Here are some photos we took over the weekend. I'm so excited for my first CHRISTMAS!!!! WOO HOO!!! More soon! xoxo Roscoe
P.S. Sorry about the annoying photo and paragraph format on this post...I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I'm only seven months old and still learning about the computer...cut me some slack, will ya?

Who's that handsome Havanese?!

Hi Everyone, I've discovered the mirror! I like to check myself out, paw at the mirror and lick it, too!

Here I am admiring my handsome reflection!

LET IT SNOW!!!

This weekend we got our first substantial snow storm...I LOVED IT!!!
Mom and Dad have ordered me a full on snowsuit, but it has not come yet...so in the meantime I just wear my puffy coat. Here are some photos of me and all the fun snow! I think I'm going to love being a mountain dog :)

Reunited!

Hey Everyone! Mom and Dad are back from their trip to Bermuda and life is good! I'm so happy to have the family back together. I had a lot of fun while they were away...the Grubers were awesome and I had a good time w/ Marisa and Merrill as usual. They actually were watching a lot of smaller dogs when I was with them, so I had fun friends my size to pal around with. Here are some new pics of me. xoxo Roscoe

My Winter Coat

Check out my new winter coat! It is green on one side and orange on the other and I love it!
I usually sport the green side, but am thinking of reversing it and doing orange for Halloween when I'm with the Gruber family. It's pretty cold here -- 20 degrees on the way to work with Mom this morning....BRR! Glad I have this puffy coat to keep me warm. I'm having fun with Mom at work today. As you can see, she brings a lot of toys and things to keep me busy. I especially like when Cody the Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler is here too -- we have so much fun together!
More soon....xo R

Stupid Bermuda...

This is my angry face. I am making this angry face because Mom and Dad are leaving me again! Unfortunately, I can't go on this trip with them like I normally would. They are going to some place called Bermuda which has some strict rules for bringing dogs in. I don't think the hotel would let me stay either. I hate this Bermuda place!!! Anyway, I'll be in great hands while they are gone. First, I'll be staying with Dr. & Susan Gruber, their kids and their dog Rocky (who I know from Walkin' The Dog) for a few days which should be fun. I'll be celebrating my first Halloween with them! I can sport my awesome new coat which is orange...perfect! Then they'll take me to see my good buddies Marisa and Merrill on Monday...YAY! I sure hope Mom doesn't cry like a baby again when she drops me off...how embarrassing was THAT last time?! xoxo Roscoe

Indian Summer

Hi! This weekend was so much fun -- the weather was really nice so I got to spend most of the weekend outside! I was originally supposed to take a ride to Denver to meet up with my breeders, Charlie and Dee who were coming to Colorado, but Charlie got really sick so they couldn't make it. I was pretty bummed...I love them and they took such great care of me when I was there with them (and even before I was born)! Hopefully, we'll be able to see eachother in February.

Anyway, here are some photos from over the weekend. Mom took me on a fun walk on Arrowhead Mountain yesterday to enjoy the beautiful fall weather. We saw a big black dog that we at first thought was a bear! Scary! Then we saw his owner a little bit behind him...phew!
