MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Hope you all had a great Christmas! Mine was GREAT! A fun, relaxing day at home with lots of love from Mom & Dad and lots of playing with toys (old and new). What more could a dog want?!
Anyway, here is this year's card. We just couldn't get it together enough to take a nice group photo, so my sweater and I stole the spotlight! xo R

Early Christmas

Check out these awesome gifts I got from Grandpa Bill, Grandma Jeannette and cousin Kirby! The first is a really fun toy that is perfect for playing fetch with and a cozy quilted coat to protect me from inclement weather...which we have a lot of here in the mountains of Colorado. Thanks guys! I can't wait to see you all in February and play! xoxo Roscoe

Sweet Taters

So I've been on this "novel protein" diet since 11/20 and in my case, my novel protein is Bison -- with a little sweet potato in the mix to liven things up a little. I've also been eating the Natural Balance (they made the food) Bison & Sweet Potato treats -- very tasty! However, I do find myself longing for one of my beloved (but now off limits) bull sticks every now and then. Luckily, my problem-solving Mom is on the case and found me these! They are dehydrated sweet potatoes, which oddly make a great tasting and tough chew. Yummy yummy!

Exploring Dad's Shirt

For some reason I think it is super fun to crawl up inside of my Dad's shirt...I do it almost nightly! It's fun in there...kinda like a tunnel...and when I come out I look really funny from all the static electricity. xo r

December Visitors

I just looooooove when we get visits from family and friends from other parts of the country! Last week, it was my Grandma Mary Ann & Grandpa Don from NY. Here are some photos of us from their time with us here in Colorado. I had fun going on walks with Grandma and I love her sooo much that I even let her brush me without putting up a fight (but still hated it -- look @ my expression)! Grandpa Don and I had a great time playing with one of my original toys way back from my Arizona days. Fun! xo Roscoe

Santa Baby

I can't believe it's almost Thanksgiving! This year has flown by. Here is a fun photo of me at my first visit with Santa. Can you see the terror in my eyes?! 3 seconds after this photo was taken, I leapt off Santa's lap and ran to Mom...who was standing next to the photographer. I really wasn't too jazzed about Santa. Oh well. Hope he still brings me LOTS of presents! xo R

A New Record!

I have not thrown up in a whopping 7 days -- that is my new record (since becoming sick, of course). WOO HOO!

My previous record was 6 days....so you see, I'm improving!

I really like my new food and the same company that makes the food also makes treats that are OK on the novel protein diet since they are made of bison and little else. I'm on the road to recovery...finally! And it's snowing -- sweet! XOXO Roscoe

Sweater Weather

BRRRRR -- it's pretty darn cold here in the Rockies! Good thing my wonderful Aunt Jenny bought me this sweater last winter.

The Verdict Is In...

We went down to the big city for me to get an endoscopy on 11/5. The results are back and I have eosinophilic inflammatory bowel disease -- that's what all that puking was about. So now I'm on what is called a "novel protein diet" for about the next 4 weeks. My new food is made from BISON! It makes me feel so manly, eating bison. I can have this food and only this food for the 4 week trial period...then if I'm feeling OK and not throwing up then maybe I can get some other things added back into my diet gradually. The best thing about the endoscopy was this neat bandana they gave me afterward! XOXO Roscoe

First Snow!

On a lighter note, it snowed a lot yesterday and I enjoyed playing in it! Oh how I've missed you, snow!

Under the Weather

Hey Everyone...sorry for slacking on the blog this month. Truth is, I've been a little sick and haven't really been doing much. Since Mom & Dad got back from their trip, I've been vomiting a few days a week and no one can figure out why. I've even gone to a specialist in the big city, been poked, prodded, had my belly shaved for an ultrasound, have switched food and nothing makes me better!

Anyway, aside from the vomiting and feeling sick afterward I'm otherwise OK -- feeling energetic and happy. Hope we find out the problem soon -- I hate to be sick! XO R

Happy Hikers :)

The family went on a nice hike on Saturday -- the leaves are in full swing and we had a great time! I even made a new dog friend along the way. I love hiking with Mom & Dad! xo R

My Mom Returns...FINALLY!

So sorry for the lack of blog posts in the month of September...Mom (my blog helper) has been over in France for what seemed like for-EVER! Mom was over in Provence with my Grammy and Aunt Jenny for a week and then Dad flew over to meet her in Paris where they stayed for 4 nights. Once Dad left, I was brought to hang out with my buds Marisa & Merrill and their dogs. It was fun, but I'm happy to have my routine back to normal and my parents back! Here is a pic of me and Mom before she left (and one of me looking sad that she was gone). I'll try to post more this week...we are busy being back at work! XOXO Roscoe

This weekend has been all about me and Dad hanging out. I'm sure that my Mom is around here someplace too...but I am just totally obsessed with my Dad this weekend!

Wonderfluff!

Thanks to Charlie & Dee for recommending Wonderfluff for my baths. It was hard to find, but totally worth it! It makes my coat look and feel great -- this stuff is seriously awesome. Here are some shots taken after my bath, a good blow dry and brush...we had a little photo shoot...I love to pose! Dear Makers of Wonderfluff: if you need a spokesdog, look no further - I'm your man! xo R
