Monday

On Monday 8/24, I got my rabies shot. It wasn't bad at all -- no reaction this time. Now that I am fully vaccinated, I can go to parks and to Walkin' the Dog; a fun place for me to play with other dogs during the day. I am very excited! Last night, Mom and Dad washed their duvet cover and I got to play in the down comforter...it was GREAT! I would like something like that for my crate! We also just played a lot and took some photos. I hope you like them. This weekend I am going to be staying with Marisa and Merrill, the owners of Walkin' the Dog...I'll be at the dog daycare during the day and then at their house at night. They assure me that they have a nice fenced in yard with lots of room for me to run around. Check out their website at www.walkingthedogvail.com! I'll miss Mom and Dad a lot, but I know they'll have a fun time in Jackson Hole with Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Shawn. Oh, I forgot to tell you that I weighed a whopping 5.6 lbs at the vet! What a tub I am! More soon...

My East Coast Trip

I'm back from NY/NJ after a very loooooooong travel day yesterday. My trip was SO GREAT! I started off in New York City, staying at my Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Shawn's apartment. It's in a such a nice area -- lots of passersby who liked to pet me and say how cute I was, a nice quiet street for doing my business and close to lots of fun places! I walked the new High Line Park, got to check out South Street Sea Port, took some cab rides, got to stay in a hotel room all by myself, took a long (and hot) stroll around Hudson River Park where I met a cute Shih Tzu named Moo Shu and even got to check out the very cool Chelsea Market from my Sherpa Bag. I was so busy I didn't even take any photos of my adventures! I guess that's just the crazy fast paced Big Apple for you.... From there, I took my first trip to the lovely Port Authority Bus Terminal and hopped a bus down to Forked River in NJ to see some more family...Grandpa Bill, Jeannette & my favorite new playmate, Kirby! We went on the boat, to the beach, rode in the Jeep and played, played, played! I absolutely loved the water! I started out w/ a life jacket on, but I took it off once I got my sea legs. Here are some photos. Enjoy! xoxo Roscoe

bon voyage!

The past few days have been very busy around here. We've been packing for our big trip to New York City and New Jersey! I'm very excited to see The Big Apple and to play in the water in New Jersey. Apparently there are lots of people to meet too...fun!!!

Here are some photos of me helping out with the packing. See you soon!

Being Silly...

This dog bed type thing came with me when I left Arizona. Charlie and Dee thought it might be nice for me to have something w/ the smells of my Mom on it. Anyway, usually it holds all my toys, but sometimes I like to dump all the toys out and play with it! I drag it around, hump it, jump into it, etc. It's really a fun toy!

Lazy Sunday

After Parker went home, Dad and I hung out and watched TV. Now, don't get me wrong, I appreciate that he sits on the floor with me and plays...but wouldn't we both be much more comfortable on the couch?!? Come on!!! I'm still trying my hardest to get up there, but I need to grow a bit first. I am very close to being able to jump up there, if I get a running start.

My New Friend Parker

Mom and Dad's friends Lindsey and Steve have a cute little daughter named Parker. Since Lindsey and Steve just moved into a new house, they had a lot of painting and stuff to do, and Parker stayed with us all day on Sunday. I was very interested in her and all the things that came along with her. Mom didn't really let me get too close to her, but really all I wanted to do was lick her a little bit...this gentleman would NEVER bite a baby!! But, seeing as how I still bite my Mom sometimes, I could see why she was being cautious. Here we are, hanging out on Sunday. Isn't she adorable?

Bells!

So since Mom and Dad were getting so frustrated by my free spirited urination, they asked my trainer for some advice. The solution was to buy some Poochie Bells (http://www.poochiebells.com/). At first, I would play with them on the floor, then they got hung up on the door I use to go out and Mom or Dad would ring them each time I went out and say "Potty, ring the bells, Roscoe!"...and they would hold me up near the bells and I would either paw at them or hit them with my nose until they made noise. Well, I figured out that routine in a day or two, and now I just go over to the bells whenever I feel the urge to pee or poo and ring them myself. I'm such a big boy! This makes it easier for everyone now that we have a potty sign. Here I am ringing the bells. Cute, huh?
